Overview:

The King Bayou Prospect is a strategic two-well drilling opportunity located in the Little Cheniere Field of Cameron Parish, Louisiana. This historically productive region of the Gulf Coast is known for its established infrastructure and multiple hydrocarbon-bearing objectives. The project encompasses approximately 600 acres, situated in a prolific trend known for high-volume production and significant reserve potential.

This prospect focuses on the execution of two high-potential directional wells designed to target significant reserves:

  • Chen Chen Plan 1: A 10,500' directional well testing an up-thrown 3-way closure with multiple objectives. It has an estimated reserve potential of up to 3,200,000 barrels of oil and 6.6 billion cubic feet (BCF) of gas.
  • Chen Chen SD4: A 10,300' directional well specifically targeting the SD4 sand. This well is projected to hold as much as 279,000 barrels of condensate and 6.8 BCF of gas.

Collectively, these two wells offer a substantial combined reserve potential exceeding 3.4 million barrels of oil and condensate and over 12 billion cubic feet of gas. In addition to the potential for significant cash flow, participants may benefit from the significant tax advantages unique to domestic oil and gas investments, including the deductibility of intangible drilling costs (IDCs), depletion allowances, and treatment as active income under current tax law.

The King Bayou Prospect offers investors a combination of high-impact asset exposure, substantial reserve potential, and tax-efficient income, making it well-suited for those seeking diversification outside traditional equity and fixed-income markets.
